SUSTAINABILITY

We want our customers to genuinely know exactly what it is they are buying. We believe in upfront communication, honesty and transparency with our processes and products. We want our customers to buy our products for the same reasons we make them. We believe in quality, not quantity in our own personal lives and believe that one good quality product is indefinitely better than mass produced low quality items that are destined for landfill the moment they are made. Every job gets our full attention and time to guarantee a durable, long lasting result.

We believe that our modern society wastes way too much and we strive to do our part to contribute to a less wasteful business model. We reduce our environmental impact through:

Furniture Restoration & (Faux) Timber Repairs:

Too much quality, expensive furniture, flooring and joinery is being thrown out because of minor cosmetic issues and damages. With the right skills and equipment, the majority of these issues can be easily and cost effectively fixed. We provide bespoke, quality (on site) repairs that are time efficient, save you money and prevent unnecessary landfill.

Upcycled & Custom Made Furniture:

Our mission is to create pieces that will last many lifetimes and generations. We try and utilise materials that are already in existence, using only recycled, repurposed or restored timber. We source our materials from old furniture and buildings which we truly believe is higher quality and better seasoned than what you will buy from timber suppliers. This way we help reduce landfill and also help to reduce consumption of virgin materials.

All of our finishes are very close to their natural origins without compromising on quality and durability. We do utilise modern glues and some modern fillers as we believe sustainability also relates to the time in which a product lasts. High quality glue and finishes are a vital aspect in ensuring the longevity of our products. We look for products that:

  • are low VOC & nontoxic,

  • have fully declared ingredients,

  • are low allergenic or allergen free,

  • are biodegradable,

  • don’t contribute to greenhouse emissions,

  • are based on renewable raw plant materials.
